POKÉMON Scarlet and Violet is having its next raid event soon featuring the transforming Ditto.
Ditto is one of the more unique Pokémon, as it transforms into the ‘mon you are using.

If you bring a strong Pokémon with good countering moves, then the opposing Ditto will also have these great moves.
However, if you bring a weak ‘mon, you won’t have enough power to take the Ditto down, as it keeps its old HP stat.
Luckily, there is one Pokémon that you can bring to these raids, that will help you easily defeat the transforming blob.
The best method is to fight fire with fire, that is to bring your own Ditto into battle.
Ditto is the only Pokémon that an opposing Ditto cannot transform into, this is because it is already a Ditto.
Before transforming, Ditto only has the move Transform, meaning that it cannot do anything to harm you if it does not transform.
You might be wondering if you’re a Ditto, how will you then take down the raid Ditto?
Well the answer is that there are three other Pokémon controlled by AI that enter the match with you.

While they aren’t the strongest, you can still transform into one of these to gain additional moves.
Then it is a case of chipping away at the untransformed Ditto until it is taken out.
The Ditto that appears in raids won’t even consider transforming into these other Pokémon, so you are safe to bring any Ditto.
Even better, the level of your Ditto doesn’t matter as it will copy all of the stats, such as Attack from your target.
The only stat it doesn’t copy is HP, but you aren’t being hit anyway.
This means you can use any Ditto you find in the wild without worrying about stats, level, or nature.
