The Sun has been trying some of the latest AI image generators around to come up with some very realistic images.

One of the tasty treats above is made by Bing’s AI image creator.

But can you tell with your own hungry eyes?

Both feature a very tempting flakey pastry as any good pain au chocolat should.

And the outside is aptly golden too.

Well, it turns out the second image is the fake.

While the chocolate centre looks delicious it’s not quite what you’d expect from a pain au chocolate.

Most of them look like the first one, with two dots that come out of the end.

The image was made within seconds by Bing’s new AI image creator.

It allows you to type in just about anything you like and it’ll make an image for you for free.

While AI is getting scarily clever at creating images, it still has a way to go to appear totally fool proof.

An expert recently revealed some telltale signs to look out for.

These include hands and teeth on people, which AI image generators struggle to deal with at the moment.
