Miniature crisp, crunchy biscuits are topped with a swirl of fluffy cotton candy sweetness in a playful reinvention of the beloved and classic flavour.

Fans took to Facebook after the new flavour treats were spotted in stores.

One user said: “Need these.”

“Yes please” screamed another.

“Am I the only one, who at nearly 36 years old bites the biscuits off and puts all the gems back in the packet to eat them all at the end??” asked a third user.

McvVities confirmed the release of its new Iced Gems Candy Floss last month.

The biscuit brand said: “We know our consumers love classic, nostalgic flavours, so we’ve created these new products with that front of mind.

“They’re the perfect sweet treat to enjoy with friends and family alike.”

McVitie’s also launched an Eton mess cake bar and lemon meringue flavour cake bar.

The Iced Gems Candy Floss will hit Iceland shelves on March 25, with other supermarkets to follow from April.

The 115g pack is selling in stores for £1, 25p cheaper than the original retail price.

You can use the Iceland store locator to see where your nearest store is.

You can still find traditional McVities Iced gems in other supermarkets like Sainsbury’s, Tesco, and Asda for £1.25.

Last year McVities confirmed that an iconic mini Jaffa Cakes had been axed.

Fans on X, formerly known as Twitter, were left devastated after hearing the news.

But white chocolate Digestives are now back after almost 20 years, they are going in Tesco for £1.90 per 232g pack.

The biscuits include a classic digestive base but are covered with a layer of white chocolate on top.

In other news “lush” cherry Jaffa Cakes have been spotted on the shelves in Home Bargains for just 49p.

How to save on your supermarket shop

THERE are plenty of ways to save on your grocery shop.

You can look out for yellow or red stickers on products, which show when they’ve been reduced.

If the food is fresh, you’ll have to eat it quickly or freeze it for another time.

Making a list should also save you money, as you’ll be less likely to make any rash purchases when you get to the supermarket.

Going own brand can be one easy way to save hundreds of pounds a year on your food bills too.

This means ditching “finest” or “luxury” products and instead going for “own” or value” type of lines.

Plenty of supermarkets run wonky veg and fruit schemes where you can get cheap prices if they’re misshapen or imperfect.

For example, Lidl runs its Waste Not scheme, offering boxes of 5kg of fruit and vegetables for just £1.50.

If you’re on a low income and a parent, you may be able to get up to £442 a year in Healthy Start vouchers to use at the supermarket too.

Plus, many councils offer supermarket vouchers as part of the Household Support Fund.
