WHAT separates most gaming consoles from each other is their libraries of exclusive games.
Console exclusives can be some of the most iconic series, such as Zelda, Mario and Pokémon only being available on Nintendo consoles.
PlayStation has its own big exclusive series, including Horizon, God of War, and Marvel’s Spider-Man.
However, while Xbox has some excellent award-winning exclusive games, they usually don’t belong to an iconic series.
This means that Xbox fans are protective of their exclusive games, wanting to keep them only available to Xbox console owners.
There are also worries that if Xbox releases its exclusive titles on other platforms, that eventually the company will stop making consoles, and shift focus to just creating games.
More in Xbox
While Xbox consoles are not as popular as PlayStation or Nintendo, the platform still has a sizable slice of the console gaming market.
For all these reasons, Xbox owners have taken the news that one of its best exclusives might be coming to other consoles particularly hard.
Many sources have revealed that there are plans to bring Hi-Fi Rush to other platforms.
Hi-Fi Rush is an Xbox-exclusive rhythm action game that won Best Audio Design at The Game Awards 2023 and was nominated for a number of other awards.
