It shot to fame back in 2021, and has since becomes one of the most popular games around the world.
But it appears that Wordle has crashed this morning.
Several frustrated users have taken to X (formerly Twitter) to discuss the outage, with one claiming it has ‘ruined their morning’.
‘Wordle is down. My 12am ritual is in tatters,’ one user wrote, indicating that the game has been down for hours.
MailOnline attempted to access the New York Times game, and found that the page would not load.

It shot to fame back in 2021, and has since becomes one of the most popular games around the world. But it appears that Wordle has crashed this morning
Since launching back in October 2021, Wordle has quickly become the go-to game for hundreds of thousands of eager players around the world.
The daily word game gives players six attempts to guess a five-letter word.
Feedback is given after each guess in the form of coloured tiles – green indicating a letter is correct and in the right position, and yellow indicating a letter is correct but in the wrong position.
It proved so popular that the New York Times announced that it had purchased Wordle in 2022 for an undisclosed, low-seven figure fee.
While many loyal players still play the game every day, the game has suffered an outage this morning.
Taking to X, one user wrote: ‘Wordle being down has completely ruined my morning routine.’
Another added: ‘Wordle being down on day 200 of my current streak is CRUEL.
And one joked: ‘Feeling very out of kilter that my bedtime routine has been thrown into disarray – Wordle is down!’
MailOnline attempted to access the game on both desktop and mobile, and was unable to get the page to load.
An error message simply reads: ‘Timed out while waiting on cache-lcy-eglc8600075-LCY.’
