Marriage is so dear to God’s heart. This explains why at the first marriage ceremony in the Garden of Eden, He poured out his blessing on Adam and Eve with passion saying “Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth, using all its vast resources in the service of God and man and have dominion”. However, since the fall of man, it became a struggle for man to enjoy his authority and dominion. The weapons of mass destruction being employed by the devil are ignorance and fear. You will continue to struggle until you acquire the necessary knowledge and apply it correctly. And by the time you are tired of fighting, you will throw in the towel and become a victim as many people are today.
That is why the wise people who know this secret and are desirous of success in their marriage, are engaged in acquiring knowledge that will help them sail through what can be described as a camel trying to pass through the eye of a needle. God’s word says: “My people are perish for lack of knowledge” The devil has blindfolded many so much so that they feel marriage is all about choosing and dropping. They have a blurred picture of what marriage is all about and they are blind forever.
The reality is that in marriage you are a perpetual student, you keep learning every day. This is because marriage is in phases. The knowledge and wisdom necessary for phase one cannot work or be applied for phase two. As the phases unfold, you need new wisdom to tackle the situation in order not to be a victim of that phase but a victor. When you come to the resources available to you and how to apply them, you gain confidence against your adversaries. Your confidence is a threat to the devil and his cohorts. His weapon is fear but whenever he shows up and you confidently apply your weapon, he flees away.
Many people are destabilized because their marriage is not stable, it is a concern to many because when there is love, joy, peace, and unity at home that is when productivity will be high, and people enjoy positive creativity in their profession or business. Wealth generation becomes easy followed by contentment and security. All this goodness is not available to people whose marriage is not what they desire. Without unity, couples could achieve but little when they realize that they are in danger, fear of marriage overtakes them and they become a victim of marriage warfare. If your marriage is at this point today, I want to assure you that it shall bounce back to life and you shall enjoy it to the fullest in Jesus’ name. Amen.

- Acquire necessary information about marriage at different phases. Read relevant materials and work hard at applying them
- Guard your thought, satan could come to you through your thought, so be alert in your mind so as to reject any thought that is not of peace and progress. What family A is facing has nothing to do with you. Focus on the positive and that is what you will have.
- Know that the devil can enter into anyone and use that person against you, instead of seeing anybody as your enemy, rebuke the devil inside that person and your victory is assured. To rebuke the devil you must have the word of God in you, your most effective weapon is the word of God. Jesus used the word to defeat satan each time he confronted him. You too can study the word, believe in it, and let the word dwell in you richly so that whenever the devil wants to disrupt your glorious plan, you will be in a position to speak the word and conquer him. The word of God is a consuming fire, destroying every device of the enemy against us. It is also a hammer that breaks a rock into pieces, and levels every mountain on our way of attainment in life. The word of God shall work wonders when you believe in the power it carries.
- To turn your problems into progress and prosperity you must develop a special relationship with the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is the Lord over everything and situations. When his name is mentioned, every unwanted situation bows down forever. The name of the Lord is a strong tower for the righteous. Apostle Paul testified to it that “salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved”. He is referring to the mighty name of Jesus Christ, of whom King David, the man after God’s heart, says is our help (psalm 124:8).
- Prayer is another weapon of war in the hands of a believer. God commanded us to call on him, he promised to answer us and show us great and mighty things which we do not know. When we arm ourselves with the word of God, and the indwelling spirit of God leading us in prayer, we become a terror to the devil and his army of demons.
In winning matrimonial warfare, you must fear God, and put all your trust in him for he will be with you in trouble. He will deliver you and honor you. Praise God!
