FACEBOOK is all about interaction so it can be confusing and frustrating when you find you’ve lost your comment function.
However, there’s lots of reasons why you might be unable to comment on Facebook content and we’ve rounded up some of the more common issues.

Why can’t I comment on anything on Facebook?
If you find you can’t comment on literally anything on Facebook you may want to start from the basics.
Make sure you’re using the latest version of the app or refresh the page on your desktop.
You could also try logging out for a bit and logging back in.
Then, you need to consider whether a user has blocked you from commenting or whether you’re trying to comment on a post that doesn’t allow for any comments.
Sometimes people use a Timeline Review feature which means they have to approve each comment before other people can see it.
When you comment on a friend’s post who has this feature turned on, they will get a notification about your comment and can approve or deny it.
Some people also set their Facebook settings so that only friends or certain people can comment.
Why can’t I comment on a Facebook live video?
Facebook explains: “The broadcaster of a live video has the ability to apply comment moderation settings that may limit a viewer’s ability to comment on their live video.”
It goes on to mention several reasons why you might not be able to comment on a Facebook live video.
These include the fact you can only comment once every ten seconds, you must comment at leat 100 characters and you must have been following the streaming for longer than 15 minutes and have had your account for over two weeks.
All these factors could work to stop people making fake accounts just for trolling.
You may also need to subscribe to a streamer.
Be aware that they can still delete your comments or block you from commenting.
