The jackpot is estimated to hit the £7.5m mark at the weekend.

It comes after no ticket holders managed to match all six main numbers, nor did any players match five numbers and the bonus ball to win £1m.

But 52 players landed £1,750 each after matching five of the six numbers.

The winning Lotto numbers were 11, 23, 26, 36, 37, 44 and the bonus number was 53.

The winning Thunderball numbers were 09, 17, 20, 32, 38 – and the Thunderball was 12.
