Jacob spent his entire childhood with three siblings, Andrew, Preston, and Julia. His family frequently traveled to the peaks of neighboring Montana, where he used to perform freeriding with his siblings.
In an interview, he revealed that he starkly remembers playing with them when he was eight. With growing time, he had difficulty seeing and was later diagnosed with meningioma or brain tumor.
Despite being blind, he did not give up on his passion for Skiing. He thanked his family for all the support and encouragement.
