LEGO Fortnite was announced less than a week ago, and it won’t be long before we can explore the world for ourselves.

The new mode will be similar to Minecraft with a Lego twist, as a survival crafting mode where you build the world from Lego bricks.

Fortnite downtime has already begun, and players can no longer get into the game.

Here’s when Fortnite will return, and what we know is coming with it.

Fortnite Downtime: When will Fortnite be back online?

Fortnite has scheduled downtime to help prepare for when the new mode enters the game.

More in Fortnite

Fortnite downtime began on December 7, 2023, at 12am PT / 3am ET / 8am GMT.

Servers will go back online as soon as they are updated with the new Lego Fortnite mode,

This will take several hours at least, and we don’t expect servers to return until at least the afternoon.

It could take longer than this, and downtime might even last until this evening.

The earliest we expect servers to be back online is December 7, 2023, at 4am PT / 7am ET / 12pm GMT.

Fortnite Downtime: What is Lego Fortnite?

When the servers go back online, not only will players be able to enter the usual Battle Royale and No Build modes, but also the new Lego Fortnite mode.

This will be completely separate from the other modes currently available in Fortnite, and is instead focused on gathering materials, crafting, and building.

It is believed that it will contain characters from Fortnite designed in the Lego style.

We also expect that the building will be based on Lego blocks rather than the usual wooden structures we’re used to seeing.

It seems that this mode will not have combat, or it will at least be more limited than in the main modes.
