The startup began its journey with its innovative imaging technlogy, which it hoped to apply to tracking a transformation over time. The company tried out multiple business applications, including tracking crop patterns and aging paintings. Instead, a chance encounter noticing a doctor measuring a wound gave way to the birth of Swift Medical.

In finding the right application for his team’s technology, Perez credits his natural tendencies to stick to his guns and be a bit stubborn as key ingredients to the startup’s success.
