IF you need to pop to the shops for milk and other supplies, then you might want to know when your local Spar opens.
Spar stores work like local shops, so they offer different opening times to suit different communities.

They are open seven days a week, and don’t usually cut down hours on a Sunday either.

What time do Spar branches open and close?
Spar stores will usually be open from around 6am to 10pm every day of the week including Sundays.
Some can close earlier than this, like Spar New George Street in Manchester, which closes at 8pm instead – and opens an hour later at 7am too.
Some stores that are part of petrol stations will be open until midnight, with some staying open 24 hours.
Opening hours can vary between branches though, so it’s best to check with the locator tool to find out when your closest store opens.
When is the best time to shop at Spar?
Google has a very handy tracker which you can use to see Spar’s busiest and quietest times, at any point in the week.
It will also tell you if your local store is open or closed at the time of searching.
If you search for “Spar” using Google search, and then click on your nearest store, it will show a chart of the store’s busiest times for each hour of the day it is opening.
It can also show you live information and whether it is busier than usual for that time of day.
Spar’s quietest times are usually in the evening, between 7pm and 9pm, and early in the morning between 6am and 7am.
Can I order online shopping from Spar?
Spar has a number of grocery stores that deliver to your door, so you can get supplies without leaving the comfort of your own home.
You’ll have to contact your local Spar directly to set up a delivery slot – but these are usually prioritised for the vulnerable and elderly.
Not all stores offer this service though as each are independently run, so check with your local branch to see if delivery is available to you.
You can also get Spar products delivered via Deliveroo.
The charge for this will depend on how far away you live from a store, but you can get free delivery if you spend at least £15.
Then it will usually take around 20 minutes to reach you.
Are there rules in place for shopping in-store?
With some covid restrictions still in place across the UK, customers will have to abide by rules when shopping in Spar stores.
All customers have to wear a mask unless they are exempt and must keep to social distancing measures to help others shop safely.
You’re also advised not to touch things you’re not planning to buy.
There aren’t any limits on items so you don’t have to worry about what you do pick up in-store.
