THE titanosaur is the largest dinosaur and creature who ever walked the earth.
And here is everything you need to know about the dinosaur.
What is a titanosaur?
A titanosaur is a dinosauria and belonged to the sub group sauropoda.
Sauropoda are recognised for their enormous size and they are believed to be the largest animals ever to live on earth.
Compared to other dinosaurs in their species titanosaurs had a small and wide head and large nostrils.
They had relatively short necks but however had long tails, almost like a whip.
Titanosaurs were the dominant vegetarians of their time.
Normally they travelled in large groups throughout the forest and ate around 2000 of plants a day.
It is believed that titanosaurs were not picky and ate any plant they were able to reach.
How big were titanosaurs?
The estimated length of a titanosaur varies from 82 to 100 feet (25 to 30.5 meters).

Their weight is estimated between 66 to 83 tons.
The largest titanosaur is displayed in London‘s Natural History Museum since March 30, 2023.
He is 120 feet ( 37 meters) long and weights around 70 tons.
The skeleton was discovered in 2010 on a farm in Argentina and is believed to be over 100 millions years old.
Titanosaurs are not one species alone but a group of at least 30 different sizes – if not more.
Where is the titanosaurs from?
Titanosaurs were widespread in the southern continents and even in Australia.
However fossils were found in all continents except for the Antarctica.
The first titanosaurs fossil was found in the Madagascar in 1842 and was only 50 feet (15 meters) long, which was small for the normal size of a titanosaur.
In January 2023 more than 250 titanosaur eggs have been found in India, which was the biggest found in history of the species.
The eggs are tiny and when born they were not much bigger than a human baby.
However scientists believe that some sauropods doubled in size in the first five days of life.
