BE careful where you hang your coat in this home… as the owner built a bathroom in quite the unexpected place.

This savvy resident seems to have taken saving space to a new level by constructing a toilet in a cupboard in his LIVING ROOM.

It seems the man is desperate not to miss any of his favourite TV shows, as he set up a urinal in the storage space in his lounge.

The unbelievable layout has baffled the internet and has left users debating whether he is taking the pee – or if the idea is downright genius.

Just feet away from a brown leather couch is a fully working urinal and sink, tucked behind two white doors.

Even though privacy while relieving themselves is out the window, the owner did manage to squeeze in a towel rail and a shelf to rest their belongings on.

The unconventional arrangement has divided Reddit users, with some praising the out of place urinal, while others slammed it as unhygienic.

One user applauded the inventive owner, dubbing it: “A true water closet.”

Another said: “Makes sense to me. Need #2 pause and go to another room otherwise don’t miss a second of that game, baby.”

“There should be a mirror above it so you don’t have to twist your neck to see while ya pee,” a third user suggested.

Users complimented the “excellent idea”, saying it was the perfect addition for a games room – but others flushed their fantasies down the drain.

They raised concerns that sitting in such close proximity to the urinal would let off a “terrible” smell.

Another user wrote: “It’s gonna smell like a public toilet in that room. No matter how good your aim is.”

“As someone that worked in plumbing as a teen — urinals are way more disgusting than toilets,” one Redditer chimed in.

“Urine gets everywhere and they often have low water flow, so things don’t get taken away as effectively, leading to much worse smells.

“Having worked on urinals, I would never want one in my home – ‘man cave’ or not. Even if it were surrounded by tile, I’d pass.”

WACKY RENOVATIONS

It’s not the first controversial home structure that has got social media talking – as one studio flat was branded a “prison cell” for squashing a washing machine, kitchen and toilet UNDER the bed.

The apartment in north London crammed in the usual amenities all under the double mattress.

Social media users reacted with shock after the listing went viral on Twitter, with some comparing the tiny flat to a “Sims flat”.

But others hailed the “clever use of space”.

Another bizarre home stashed the sleeping area on top of the KITCHEN CUPBOARDS.

Although the weird feature might create bedlam for some – it could be the perfect midnight snack spot for others.

As well as this, we told how a tiny studio flat with a shower and sink next to the bed went on sale for £200,000.

The property – in Notting Hill, London – has little more than a single bed, a hob and a shower inside.

Elsewhere in London, a property narrower than a bus went on sale in July for a whopping £700,000.
