If you want your iPhone battery to last a bit longer, try some of these.

Avoid cold temperatures

Both cold and hot can have negative effects on your iPhone.

High temperatures can cause the iPhone to overheat and need a little break.

But extreme cold can result in the battery draining much faster.

Your iPhone has a hidden button you didn't know existed

As Apple says itself: “Using an iOS or iPadOS device in very cold conditions outside of its operating range might temporarily shorten battery life and could cause your device to turn off.

“Battery life will return to normal when you bring your device back to higher ambient temperatures.

“Your iOS or iPadOS device might not charge or could stop charging if it gets too cold.”

Screen brightness

The screen’s light is one of the biggest battery suckers.

If you use your iPhone a lot, then obviously the battery will go quicker, and that is in large part due to the display.

Turning the brightness down can help.

Making sure the screen switches off when you’re not using your phone will save loads too.

Rogue apps

Apps that run in the background will also take up battery.

So it’s well worth checking to see how much each one is using.

You can see by going to the Settings and tapping Battery.

Below, you’ll see a list of the apps that use the most amount of battery.

Tap each one, and it’ll detail how many minutes it’s using in the background and on screen.

Poor network coverage

If you’re in a spot with poor network coverage, this can have an impact on battery too.
