The snack maker took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to apologise to a fan who shared an unusual pack of Walkers.

User Josh Adamson posted a picture of his order of ‘Seriously Salt and Vinegar.

But the popular snack package was discoloured.

The retro bag is known to Walkers’ fans for its characteristic green colour.

But in the picture, the colour appears to be faded and it looks completely blue.

The shocked customer ironically swiped: “Quality department working hard I see.”

In response, the crisps manufacturer apologised and confessed the discoloration was part of a factory printing error.

Despite the mistake, they reassured the customer and claimed the crisps are safe to eat.

A spokesperson said: “Hi Josh, this is a printing error that’s happened at our film suppliers, but rest assured your crisps are safe to enjoy!”

It comes after Walkers once again left fans devastated after announcing they have discontinued another “phenomenal” crisp flavour.

‘I loved these!’ cry shoppers as ‘god tier’ crisp flavour discontinued last month returns to Morrisons

This crisps brand has confirmed one of its Oven Baked range of crisps has been axed for good.

Shoppers will no longer be able to get their hands on the Beetroot and Sweet Chilli Jam flavour which is made with real vegetables.

The flavour only came onto the scene in 2019 just over five years later shoppers will need to say goodbye to the iconic sweet crisp.

The news was revealed on X, formerly known as Twitter, when a fan of the quirky flavour reached out to Walkers to ask why they couldn’t find the crisps in stores.
