Fans of the former flavour took to Facebook to wonder where the beloved flavour had gone.

Walkers responded with the news fans feared.

“Hi there! Sorry to disappoint you, but we don’t make Cheese Moments anymore, the company said.

“Our packaging is due to be updated, but we’ll be sure to share your comments with our team.”

Cheese Moments’ rabid popularity has spurred revellers to launch a Change.org petition titled ‘Bring back Cheese Moments’.

The page has already received hundreds of signatures.

It comes as B&M shoppers begged Walkers to “bring back the original” after they launched a divisive new crisp flavour.

Packets of limited-edition BBQ Pork Ribs have been spotted in the aisles of B&M this week.

Some punters were also quick to share snaps of the new crisps online after spotting them in store.

A picture of a five-pack was posted on the NewFoodsUK Facebook page and Instagram account, with the caption: “New Walkers BBQ Pork Ribs Crisps now available at B&M Stores.”

And some shoppers pleaded with the crisp giant to make an urgent U-turn.

Elsewhere, Walkers also announced that it had discontinued its Marmite crisp flavour at the end of last year, and it’s now slowly disappearing off shelves.

Walkers told the Sun they were well aware the flavour was beloved by fans but hoped to pave the way for new flavours.

A Walkers spokesperson told The Sun: “We are very sorry to disappoint fans of Marmite flavour Walkers crisps with this news.”
