When is Waitrose open over the Christmas holidays?

Waitrose & Partners will close all 364 stores for two days at Christmas.

All the supermarkets will be closed on both Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

From December 27 and New Year’s Eve, the majority of shops will trade normal hours.

The opening times for the supermarket chain are as follows:

  • Christmas Eve- (December 24) – 10 am or 10.30 am to 4 pm
  • Christmas Day (December 25) – closed
  • Christmas Day- closed, except those in Welcome Break service stations and Shell forecourts
  • Boxing Day- closed

Customers are encouraged to check the opening times of their local branch online.

Their delivery service will proceed as normal.

Aldi will be closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.

However, they are open on Christmas Eve from 9.30 am – 4pm.

Morrisons

Morrisons stores will be closed on December 25.

However, Morrison’s will re-open on Boxing Day but with reduced hours.

Asda

Asda‘s stores will be closed on Christmas Day.

The 24-hour Asda stores may not be opening for 24 hours, so to avoid disappointment check before heading out.

Iceland

The supermarket chain will be closed on Christmas Day.

However, you can check your local opening hours on Lidl’s website.
