Expert says more effective detection of dangerous cancers vital to reduce thousands of deaths

A screening programme for prostate cancer could be created in the next three to five years, an expert at the Institute of Cancer Research in London has said.

Prostate cancer is the most common type of cancer in men, with one in eight white men diagnosed in their lifetime. It affects black men disproportionately, with one in four diagnosed.
