TWO ticket-holders have scooped £6.3million each in Wednesday’s National Lottery draw.

Players have been urged to check their tickets for the winning numbers of 01, 03, 04, 07, 08 and 15. The bonus number was 54.

Machine Arthur and set of balls number 9 were used.

Two players also won the £1 million second prize for matching five of the six numbers plus the bonus number.

Andy Carter, senior winners’ advisor at the National Lottery, said: “Wonderful news. Two ticket-holders are sharing tonight’s £12.6 million ‘must be won’ Lotto jackpot – with each of these lucky winners scooping an amazing £6.3m.

“Players are urged to check their tickets and to give us a call to claim these fantastic prizes.”

It means the estimated jackpot for Saturday is £3.8m.

Just yesterday it was announced a lucky Brit had scooped a huge £55m jackpot on the EuroMillions game.

The Brit will be wealthier than footballer Harry Kane who is worth £51m, according to the Sunday Times Rich List.

The winning numbers in that draw were 11, 17, 28, 32 and 35 with Lucky Stars 05, 06.

Another Brit won a whopping £46.2m share in May.

A ticket from France and a ticket from Switzerland also matched the winning numbers to each take a third of the £138m prize.

And in June, a lucky UK ticket-holder scooped a EuroMillions jackpot of £111.7m.

Some winners have done some wacky things with their windfalls.

Gareth Bull, who won £41m in 2012, asked his friends to help him build a manor house with a pool, bar and games room.

The builder bulldozed his bungalow to make room for the luxury property.

He posted on Facebook at the time: “Bungalow down, garage roof on — and can just about see the pub.”

Others use the cash to pay off debts.

Elizabeth and George Galloway picked up £300,000 after buying a Bingo Bonus Scratchcard.

They plan to pay off their mortgage – 15 years early.

Sue Davies scooped an incredible £500,000 after she purchased a lottery ticket to mark an end to shielding during the pandemic.

She said at the time: “At first I thought we’d won £100 and my husband thought it was £1,000. When I found out we had won £300,000 I was so shocked.”
