TINDER has crashed around the world for thousands of users – crushing hopes of a quick fling or finding true love.
The outage appears to be global, with complaints pouring in from the UK, US and more.
Online outage tracker Down Detecter has logged huge numbers of reports about the app.
Most users are saying areas of the app aren’t loading properly.
This includes sending and receiving messages – the main purpose of the app.
Tinder is one of the world’s most popular dating apps.
It’s famous for its “swipe” mechanic, which lets users match based on whether they like the look of each other.
In the third quarter of 2020, there was 6.6million paying Tinder subscribers – and many times more users.
The app says users make up to 1.6billion swipe a day.
And over half of users log on every single day.
Tinder’s official Twitter Support page hasn’t posted anything about the outage.
But Twitter has been flooded with confused users.
One wrote: “Lol I thought I was banned from Tinder again turns out it’s just down.”
Another said: “Tinder being down when I have to tell someone I can’t go on a date tonight omg stop I’m gonna feel bad when I tell them.”
We’ve asked Tinder for comment and will update this story with any response.
