Here are tips on how to get a similar blow-dry finish without spending loads . . .

DUPED: There are now many brands offering cheaper takes on Dyson’s Airwrap.

Nicky Clarke’s Premium Frizz Control Hot Air Styler, £69.99 at Nickyclarke.com, is a fraction of the price and creates a finish to rival the Airwrap look.

The Mermade Hair Blowdry Brush is a hairdryer and brush combined for styling your hair — and now reduced from £69 to £55.20 at Beautybay.com.

Or the BaByliss Keratin Shine Volume Hot Air Styler, £30 at Argos, smoothes and has two brushes for creating volume or waves.

CURLS FROM STRAIGHTENERS: If you have a pair of straighteners, make use of them to create the trending look..

Rosie Myers, founder of plastic-free haircare brand Nope, says: “A great way to replicate the loose, beachy waves the Dyson Airwrap is known for is to use hair straighteners.

“Start with damp or towel-dried hair then take a section and clamp the straighter at the roots.

“Then twirl the straightener around your hair away from your face, while you move the iron slowly down the section of your hair.

SLEEPING BEAUTY: You can also get perfect waves without using any costly gadget.

Kerry Buckell, founder of KB Hair Extensions, recommends using sleep-in hair curlers. Wilko sells a six-pack of them for £1.50.

Kerry says: “Curl your hair in the rollers before you go to bed, securing them in place using clips and a touch or hair spray or mousse.

“For extra security, pop a shower cap or silk bonnet over your hair to keep things in place.

“You can also leave these rollers in your hair for a few hours before you need to style it — simply blast them with some heat to help speed things along.”
