But it also comes with a hidden safe that has remained locked and unopened for many years.

Pictures of the property show the heavy metal door wedged into wooden panelling in one of the rooms.

There are scuff marks on the safe -suggesting it may have been there for some time.

Estate agent Oscars of Hull says there is a key but so far no one has been able to open it.

As the property has been used both as residential and commercial premises, it is anyone’s guess what the safe could hold.

The agent said: “There is a key however we believe there to be a problem with the lock so it is unknown what is inside if anything.”

Elsewhere, the house features two open space reception rooms – including one with a feature fireplace and log burner.

The other boasts a large orangery skylight and the mysterious safe.

There is also a decked roof terrace and three bedrooms set across one of the three floors.

It comes after a quirky mansion went on sale for £1.5million that is also hiding a fun secret.

The funfair themed house in St Leonard’s-on-Sea, East Sussex, comes complete with its very own bowling alley, as well as a flashing neon clown and coconut shy.
