The latest iOS 16 update adds loads of great features – including a long-awaited typing trick.

TikTok tech whiz @kaansanity has shared some very clever hacks you’ll definitely want to know.

First, make sure you’re using the latest version of iOS.

Go to Settings > General > Software Update on your iPhone to check.

iPhone iOS 16 trick #1 – Lock Notes with Passcode

You can now easily passcode-protect your Notes app.

That’s great, as you might be storing private info in there – like birthday gift ideas or a personal diary.

Open Settings and then go to Notes.

From there, you’ll be able to set up a passcode for notes.

It’s also possible to hold down your finger on a note in the Notes app and specifically lock an individual note.

iPhone iOS 16 trick #2 – Multiple stops

You can now add multiple stops while navigating on Apple Maps.

It’s possible to add as many stops as you like.

That makes it very easy to plan a complicated journey on Apple Maps.

It means it’s now much easier to ditch Google Maps for its Apple rival.

Finally! It’s possible to get “haptic” feedback when typing on an iPhone keyboard.

That means you’ll feel tiny vibrations when you tap each character.

It’s a trick that’s been available for years on Android.

But the clever feature has finally come to iPhone with the latest iOS 16 update.

Go to Settings > Sound & Haptics and then toggle Haptic on for your iPhone Keyboard Feedback.

Sadly, many iPhones simply can’t upgrade to iOS 16.

If you don’t know which iPhone model you have, you can check by going into Settings > General > About and looking at Model Name.

And you can see if you can get (or already have) iOS 16 by going to Settings > General > Software Update.

Sadly some iOS 16 features might not work on your device, even if you can get the new update. Here’s a list of model-dependent iOS 16 features.
