FILM buffs can enjoy the magic of the movies with equally magical ticket prices.

By making the most of special deals and loyalty schemes, you need never pay full price.

Here’s some of my favourite ways to save . . .

LOYALTY PAYS: If you’re a film fan who always tends to go to the same cinema, look to sign up to a loyalty scheme.

Whether your cinema is independent or one of a chain, ask what schemes they run and compare with the price of individual tickets to work out if it’s worth it.

With myOdeon free membership, you can get deals on tickets, but film buffs could save more with the chain’s myLimitless scheme allowing you to see unlimited 2D movies for £14.99 a month (£16.99 including Central London).

Standard adult tickets are about £11.50, so you could save just by watching more than one film a month.

Cineworld’s Unlimited membership ranges from £10.99 a month to £21.90 depending on where you live and which cinemas are included.

DAYS OUT DEALS: Sign up for your local cinema’s newsletter or app to find out about special events and promotions.

Today only, Cineworld is offering £3 tickets for Imax screenings of five big movies from the last year.

There’s also an offer at Showcase where Insider members can scare themselves silly — and earn £5 rewards — by watching at least two horror releases before May 4.

This free membership also gives you the chance to buy £7.50 tickets on Sundays after 7pm and all day Monday and Tuesday.

PICTURE PERKS: There are heaps of other ways to get cut-price cinema tickets.

Meerkat Movies is the best known, with two-for-one tickets on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for a year if you buy a qualifying product at comparethemarket.com.

Pay less by using Tesco Clubcard points or through the Lidl Plus app.

And phone providers including Three and Vodafone also have access to tickets offers.
