A THREE-bedroom flat available on the market for £115,000 looks ordinary from the outside but the inside is like “stepping into Narnia”.
The home of the late artist Richard Dawson is an apartment which many might not take much notice of at first glance.
But inside, every room looks like a work of art with one-of-a-kind murals and paintings adorning each room.
Dawson, who passed in September 2021, lived in the flat near Helensburgh, Scotland.
The artist even undertook a three-year study of Michelangelo’s work in 2014 – which inspired him to create many of his own murals.
He described spending months at a time on an individual mural, sometimes requiring a magnifying glass to perfect the details in his paintings.

And Dawson’s carefully crafted style still lives on in every room of the apartment.
Intricate murals decorate the main bedroom walls and ceiling and stairways adorned with striking and colourful tiles.
Pictures of the property even show a stunning blue sky mural painted above the master bed.
The luxurious bed is surrounded by Tuscan-inspired stone and with hand-painted flowers reaching up the walls of the room.

The property is being marketed by estate agents Property Bureau – who described entering the flat like “stepping into Narnia”.
Property Bureau say that potential buyers “may wish to upgrade the home to a more modern style”, though art enthusiasts might equally appreciate the fascinating decor.
“The interior of the property is truly individual, with the artist having created his own work of art within the very walls of this residential home,” said a spokesperson from Property Bureau.
“It may well be any buyer wishes to revert back to a more orthodox interior however those who are perhaps admirers of Richard’s work – which is now posthumously selling for significant money – may well decide to retain much of this fascinating interior.
“Every visit to the house reveals more detail and the effort and time that has gone into some of the creations is staggering.”
The eclectic three-bedroom home has been valued at £120,000 by an independent surveyor, and is being listed by Property Bureau for offers over £115,000.
Some of the larger murals completed during Dawson’s career can be found in luxury department stores like Harrods and Dior, as well as in private residences across the Channel Islands, Switzerland and Belgium.
