SOME Samsung phone owners have reported a green line across their display after installing the latest update.
The alarming issue looks like a broken screen but it appears to be related to the recent software issue in most cases.
But aside from this affected handsets appear to work as normal.
Despite this, it’s quite unsightly and annoying when trying to use your phone.
A small number of panicked users have complained about the problem on social media.
The most frequently cited models are the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra and Galaxy S21 FE.

According to SamMobile, other devices affected include the Galaxy A73, M21, and the entire S22 series.
One user claimed it suddenly appeared “from nowhere overnight”.
Another wrote on X: “This is in unacceptable Samsung.
“I was updating this to the April patch, Galaxy S21 Ultra.”

It’s not clear exactly what has caused the glitch.
In a statement to The Sun, the firm said: “Samsung is committed to providing the best possible mobile experiences and product quality continues to be one of our top priorities.
“If you’re experiencing a vertical line symptom, please contact an Authorised Samsung Service Centre to take appropriate action.”
It’s not the first time Samsung handset holders have ran into this problem.
And other manufacturers like OnePlus have been hit by it too.
