FORTNITE fans had an exciting weekend, as the most recent live event completely changed the game.
A series of earthquakes led to the giant flaming Titan Hand emerging from under the Fortnite map, and worse still fans had to defeat it.
The giant hand was holding a chest bound with chains, with a health bar telling players that they had to take it down.
Everyone wasted no time trying to open the box, with players consistently dealing damage to it every match, whittling down its massive health bar.
Each of the six chains eventually snapped, and around 24 hours after it first appeared, the final chain broke, dropping the box to the ground.
As soon as the box hit the battlefield the lid opened and Fortnite was changed for the upcoming season.
More in Fortnite
We all know the myth of Pandora’s Box, where all the evils in the world burst forth as soon as it was opened.
Not much has happened since the box opened, but it doesn’t mean things will stay that way.
At the moment a glowing orange tornado has emerged from Pandora’s box and it reaches up into the sky.
If you get close enough you’ll be able to see ghostly demonic hands swirling around inside the tornado which gives a sneak peek of what is to come.

You can also use the tornado to launch yourself into the sky if you need to.
Pandora’s box opening is the latest step in the build up to Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2, which will begin on March 8.
We expect that more will happen with the box before Season 1 ends, but we’ll have to wait a little longer to see what has been unleashed on the world.
