MCDONALD’S Monopoly is back for 2022 – but did you now the fast food giant runs a “secret” version of the competition every year?
The popular promotion has become a yearly tradition, with the restaurant promising this year’s would be “bigger and better than ever”.

This year’s competition returned on September 7.
But people are only just finding out that there is a “secret competition” for a select group of people.
McDonald’s runs a separate competition every day to allow its staff to take part in Monopoly.
Staff can win all the same prizes that customers can, other than the £100,000 cash prize.

Everything you need to know…
It runs through the McDonald’s intranet, so it can only be accessed by members of staff.
Just like in the regular game, workers take part in a number of games and quizzes that they win prizes through.
It gives staff a chance to play along without breaking the game’s terms and conditions by allowing staff to get too involved in the regular competition.
As per tradition, McDonald’s Monopoly lasts for six weeks in the UK.

That means that the end date for this years game will be on Tuesday, October 18, 2022.
After that, the franchise gives winners a few more months to claim any prizes.
This year, players are in with a chance of winning more than ever before.
Fast food fans can be in with a chance of winning if they collect game pieces that appear on food items like fries and McFlurries.
A new double peel feature is coming to stores nationwide – meaning players can double their gameplay online through the McDonald’s app.
Just like before, you will be able to peel to reveal a Monopoly property or an Instant Win prize – you get one peel on menu items and then an extra peel in the McDonald’s app.
The fast-food app has introduced a new digital game board and prize wallet, making winning and collecting prizes easier than before.
