Whether it is a biscuit that reminds you of your grandma or your favourite sweet that is missing from the tin, we all have something we would love to taste again.

Old-fashioned foods and sweets have started to grow in popularity in recent years, with some retailers specialising in sourcing some of our favourite oldies.

If you look online there are several independent online retailers who do this, and sometimes it is worth having a look on Amazon too.

Everyone’s favourite discounter B&M is known for offering up snacks and sweets that have not been seen for a while.

The buttery shortcake treat which features different sporting activities, including cycling and cricket, was a favourite for kids growing up in the 80s.

They go well with a nice cuppa and make perfect dunking material.

One Facebook user said of the return: “I remember these at my grandma’s and grandpa’s.”

It is hard to believe that Cadbury stopped making Christmas chocolate coins, but it did.

The confectionery giant discontinued the seasonal favourite back in 2014.

It argued at the time that the treats weren’t profitable because supermarkets sold their own, cheaper versions.

However, it must have had a change of heart as the iconic gold coins made a return to the supermarket shelves last September.

Shoppers were elated with the news, one person said: “Omg these are the bomb could never understand why they were discontinued.”

And another added: “Thank you so much for bringing them back, they have been missed.”

At the time they were relaunched a 70g back of coins could be found in B&M for £1.50.

Nestle brought back the Quality Street fan favourite for Christmas last year.

The popular choc was last seen in tubs of Quality Street over two decades ago.

However, unfortunately for fans of the iconic flavour, the coffee creme did not return to the usual Quality Street tubs.

The sweet treat was only available inside the Quality Street festive cracker and advent calendar.

Fans of the beloved flavour were able to get it inside the calenders and Crackers from John Lewis and Waitrose.

Also, fans could add the coffee creme flavour to any pick ‘n’ mix tins, available at selected John Lewis branches.

Lovers of the coffee-flavoured treat were delighted they could stock up on their favourite Quality Street in time for Christmas.

So fingers crossed there is hope again for the revival of coffee creme in 2024.

Nestle has made KitKat fans very happy with its latest decision.

The Hazelnut KitKat Chunky has made a return to the shelves after three years and shoppers can’t get enough of it.

The alternative to the original KitKat chunky is made up of a crispy wafer topped with hazelnut spread and wrapped in milk chocolate.

The RRP for the chocolate bar is 70p and has been on sale since August last year in Tesco, McColls, Co-op, OneStop and SPAR.

However, you will need to be quick if you want to get your hands on one as a company spokesperson said it will not be around forever.

We could not find any in stock online, but the item is listed on Sainsbury’s website for £1.50 so you might be able to pick one up in-store.

One person described the Hazelnut KitKat Chunky as “the next-level chocolate biscuit”.

Fans went wild about it with one even describing the flavour as “god tier.”

In a bid to keep the Marmite crisp lovers’ dream alive, Marmite joined forces with Tayto Group to manufacture a range of flavoured products.

Another one for people who like a sweet treat with their cuppa.

Happy Faces were axed around 2015 and were spotted back on the shelves last year.

The biscuits were seen last May in Asda and one fan excitedly shared the news with others on social media.

The biscuits, which have jam and cream in the middle complete with a smiley face on top, cost £1 per pack.

A spokesperson at McVities confirmed: “We are excited to say that nostalgic favourites McVitie’s BN Happy Faces are back in stores for fans to enjoy.

The brand also confirmed that the item was not a limited run and will be around for a while.
