We have scoured the market for the cheapest Christmas trees around at the moment and prices start from just £15.

But remember before you rush to splash the cash do shop around as you may be able to find cheaper elsewhere.

You can use price comparison sites such as Google Shopping to compare the prices across various retailers.

We did our price checks online and you might be able to get a better deal by visiting your local store or garden centre.

Prices also change a lot this time of year so it is best to have a last-minute look around when you are ready to buy.

If you intend to buy online remember to factor in any delivery costs that may be added to your order, this could vary depending on what size of tree you go for.

The Nordman Fir tree is non-drop and has been “hand pruned” to give a lovely bushy shape.

It is listed as being from 160-180cm tall which is around 5ft to just under 6ft tall, and is available in stores only.

Lidl recommends that to get the best out of the tree you should saw approximately 5cm off the base and place it in a water holding stand.

Delivery on this tree would cost £3.95 for standard or £2.95 for next day.
