If you’re spending any time outside this summer, you need a pair of sunglasses. Sunglasses block UV light from your eyeballs and reduce the chance of conditions like cataracts and macular degeneration. They also reduce eyestrain when it’s bright outside, and in some cases help protect your eyes from wind, rain, or flying debris. Any drugstore pair that blocks UV light will work, but I’ve had the chance to wear nearly two dozen pairs of innovative sunglasses while I ran, hiked, swam, and walked. These are my favorites.
