One such feature is “Voice Typing,” which can be enabled for Google keyboard (Gboard).
WHAT IS VOICE TYPING?
Voice Typing is essentially using dictation to generate a message on your device.
One Reddit user explained in a thread posted a few months ago that when switching this one, “there’s no delay at all when typing by voice.”
This is helpful in many cases, such as when you’re doing something with your hands, or when exercising.
“On your mobile device, you can talk to write in most places where you can type with a keyboard,” Google explained on its website.
HOW TO ENABLE
First, head to your Android phone or tablet, and install Gboard.
Open any app that you can type with, like Gmail or Keep.

Next, tap an area where you can enter text, and at the top of your keyboard, touch and hold the Microphone icon.
When you see “Speak now,” say what you want written.
The Reddit thread owner revealed that this setting is off by default, but added that they “cannot think of any reason not to have this enabled.”
In the comments section, many Android users claimed they never knew about the trick.
“I had no idea about it thanks a lot for sharing!” one person emphasized.

“I’ve been using this feature for most of the year. It just appeared one day,” another Reddit user said.
