The coins were discontinued in 2014 after Cadbury argued they were not profitable because supermarkets sell their own cheaper alternatives.

But after nearly a decade, the chocolatier announced they would be returning this Christmas.

A post by Money Saving Central confirmed the festival treats are already in Tesco stores.

It said: “They’re BACK! After a decade Cadbury Chocolate coins have returned & can now be found at Tesco.”

Cadbury isn’t the only company bringing back fan favourites this Christmas.

Terry’s revealed it would be bringing back its bags of Segsations.

But this time, they will be filled with an extra flavour – white chocolate orange segments.

Previously, the goodie bags only came with milk, dark, toffee crunch and popping candy chocolate segments.

Just this week Nestle confirmed that the Quality Street coffee cream sweet is making a come back this festive season.

Fans won’t find the choc in the usual Quality Street tubs but inside festive crackers and advent calendars at Waitrose and John Lewis from September 20.

And while it isn’t for Christmas, Muller has brought back another discontinued fan favourite yoghurt flavour from the 90s.

The yoghurt brand relaunched its strawberry and chocolate orange balls flavour and its famous Mississippi Mud Pie flavour.
