EASTER may still be weeks away but it looks like the supermarkets are stocked and ready.

Shoppers are flocking to Tesco for ‘luscious’ hot cross buns which are already on the shelves this year and they have a classic twist.

Strawberries & clotted cream hot cross buns are available in packs of four for £1.60 in Tesco. 

The buns are made with made with sweet strawberry conserve and rich clotted cream.

You’ll also find white chocolate chips and strawberry fruit pieces sprinkled throughout.

The new hot cross buns were shared on Facebook in the Newfoodsuk group.

The post has racked up over 2000 likes and 1,300 comments.

One user said: “Would love to try them.”

Another said: “Would make a luscious pudding.”

If you’re into Hot Cross Buns there are plenty of other non-traditional flavours you can find in supermarkets.

M&S currently have Bramley Apply Hot Cross Buns for £2.10, available in-store and online through Ocado

Sainsbury’s is selling a pack of four Sainsbury’s Chocolate & Salted Caramel Hot Cross Buns for £1.50 online and in stores. 

Chocolate fans can head to Asda for four Triple Chocolate Hot Cross Buns for £1.40.

Hot Cross buns are not the only Easter treats shoppers have spotted on shop shelves already. 

Easter chocolates have been sighted across the UK with some indulgent favourites returning.

The giant Whippy Dippy bar is back and M&S but this time with a new twist, shoppers can now get an orange-flavoured version of the fan favourite.

The “lush” new Galaxy Hazelnut flavoured creamy truffle mini eggs were spotted in Tesco.

Shoppers are flocking to stores to grab KitKat easter eggs which fans say have the “best” addition.
