Tesco shoppers are going wild for a Lazy-y-Spa hot tub that’s had it’s price cut by just under £200

Eagle-eyed shoppers have shared the tub across social media, and fellow bargain hunters have been rushing to bag one.

Posting on the Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK Facebook group, one shopper wrote: “Seen this in my local Tesco today – £180 reduced to clear, originally £365!”

Others have posted on the Latest Deals, Extreme Couponing & Bargains Facebook group.

One shopper said: “Quite a few Tesco’s still have these – there’s still two in my local and another 10 in another store close by.”

Another said: “I got one today and was so pleased.”

The luxury item is said to comfortably seat two to four people, making it ideal for families or couples.

Its pump uses a rapid heating system that warms the water up to a blissful 40°C.

Plus, you can heat the tub, run the massage system and filter the water simultaneously using just the pump.

The portable hot tub retails at £499 according to price runner so this is a massive saving.

It weighs around 27kg and is made from Duraplus material so should be pretty sturdy too.

The energy saving timer is designed to help save money by “switching off” the tub when it’s not in use, but it also allowing you to schedule when you want the tub to start heating up so it’s ready for when you get home.

When prices are reduced by this much it’s usually in order for stores to clear excess stock, so prices and stock will vary from store to store.

But it looks like the item is an end of season deal and stock may be limited.

It’s best to phone ahead to your closest shop to see what they have in stock to avoid disappointment.

You can find your nearest Tesco store using the locator tool on the website.

Just keep in mind that there can be sky-high hidden running costs when it comes to hot tubs.

Remember this when you’re shopping for one, and perhaps think about going smaller.

The more water your hot tub holds, the more it costs to run. So only opt for what you really need – and can afford.

You should also look around elsewhere in case you find the same thing for less.

Just use comparison sites like Google Shopping or PriceRunner to compare costs at other retailers.

We had a look online and found the exact same Lay-Z-Spa on Amzon for a whopping £450.

We also found some listed on eBay for up to £440.

Of course other brands and models may be cheaper so make sure you’re having a good look around when you browse.

Prices can also vary day to day and by what deals are on at the time, plus remember you might pay for delivery if you’re ordering online.
