A SHOPPER who tried to order a Christmas delivery was stunned to learn he was 182,200 in the queue.
Paul Wood, 45, logged on to Tesco’s website at 6am yesterday to order his turkey, sprouts and booze for delivery.
Although he completed his order after almost two hours of waiting he noticed all the other delivery slots had gone.
Paul, an IT worker from Northampton, said: “It would have been easier to buy tickets for Glastonbury.”
At one point yesterday the queue numbered 300,000.
Tesco apologised and blamed high volumes of traffic but said there were still Christmas delivery slots available,
TESCO’S festive TV ad featuring Father Christmas bearing a Covid vaccine passport has prompted more than 3,000 complaints.
