Many Tesco stores have extended their opening hours since the pandemic began to help more people shop in-store during quieter times.

Some stores open for 24 hours a day usually but for stores that don’t, opening times are typically 6am or 7am until 10pm or 11pm.

Tesco has over 3,400 stores and opening times can vary across the UK, so find your nearest to check the specific timings with the supermarket’s locator tool.

But times might change slightly from the norm over the bank holiday so we’ve rounded up everything you need to know.

When is Tesco open over the early May Bank Holiday?

Most Tesco stores are operating slightly reduced hours over the Bank Holiday this weekend.

On Sunday May 30 Tesco is set to open from 10am to 4pm.

On Monday May 31 you’ll be able to shop from 8am to 6pm.

Times are different from store to store though so check with your local to see if it’s any different.

Is Tesco doing delivery over the Bank Holiday?

You can get a delivery slot at Tesco’s on both Sunday and Monday this weekend, but they are very limited.

You’ll have to be quick to nab one of the spots because they have been fast to go due to high demand.

The delivery slots cost around £4.50 so you’ll have to factor in this extra charge with your shop too.

If you don’t fancy splashing out on the charge though you can opt for Tesco’s click and collect service that costs from £1.50 – and you’ll be able to head in to grab your online shop during the hours the store is open.
