Tesco is bringing a huge change to the beloved Clubcard

Tesco Clubcard holders can earn points every time they shop at their local branch.

These can be converted in to vouchers for money off in store, or elsewhere like restaurants and attractions.

But the bargain supermarket is currently offering double points – a deal last seen in the supermarket a decade a go.

Shoppers are being reminded that the offer ends soon.

Loyal customers have until February 25 to scan their items and accumulate the extra points.

The double points are given automatically when you scan or tap your Tesco Clubcard in store or online.

You can also claim the double points while filling up your vehicle at Tesco petrol stations or when visiting a Tesco cafe.

The offer started in January and has already seen billions of Clubcard points collected from money-savers, according to the supermarket.

Brits can accumulate their extra points and get vouchers to spend towards their weekly grocery shop.

They can also be used with the the supermarket’s Clubcard Reward Partners.

The partners include subscriptions to services such as Disney+, tasty meals out at restaurants including Pizza Express.

And even days out or holidays during the half term period with the likes of Longleat and Eurocamp.

They can also be used on days out at Alton Towers and Hotels.com.

Your vouchers can be used to cut the cost of car fuel at Tesco pumps.

Tesco’s chief commercial officer Ashwin Prasad said: “We have loved bringing over 20million Clubcard members the added joy of double points in the past few weeks and we remind customers that the event must end on Sunday, February 25.

“So whether you want to save up your points to use towards a special moment like a holiday or simply for money off your shopping or fuel, there’s no better time to get even better value from shopping at Tesco with a Clubcard.”

Customers will receive their vouchers in their next Clubcard statement in May – or they can choose to redeem them instantly with the faster vouchers service on the Tesco Grocery & Clubcard app or online.

It comes as shoppers were “chuffed” after they found an “amazing” new bargain that they can get through the Clubcard app.

The store has just released an incredible new deal that will get customers £54 off their next in store or online shop.

How does the Tesco Clubcard scheme work?

Tesco’s Clubcard scheme allows shoppers to earn points as they shop, these points can then be turned into vouchers for money off food or other reward partner schemes.

Each time you spend £1 in-store and online, you get one point when you scan your card or app.

Drivers using Clubcards now get one point for every two litres spent on fuel.

One point equals 1p, so 150 points gets you £1.50, for example.

You’ll need a minimum of 150 points to request a voucher.

These vouchers can either be worth the face value to spend in-store at Tesco, or you can double their worth to spend at reward partners, including restaurants, and on days out.

Loyalty card holders can also get cheaper prices on over 8,000 items thanks to Clubcard Prices.

These Clubcard prices save the average member £351 on their annual shop, according to Tesco.
