TESCO has revealed a permanent change at all its stores in the UK affecting shoppers.
For two days a week at certain times there will be a “quiet hour” for customers who require low levels of noise when out and about.

Tesco has been testing out the quiet shopping hours at larger stores for some time.
The supermarket first started the scheme in 2017 with the aim of helping those with autism who can become overwhelmed by loud noises.
But it also suits other shoppers who feel more comfortable shopping at times when sounds are reduced.
Now, the scheme will be extended to every one of Tesco’s more than 2,000 stores in the UK.
Quiet hours will be on Wednesday and Saturday from 9am to 10am.

Claire Pickthall, Tesco’s group customer proposition director, said that almost 20% of the population in the UK have a disability and the supermarket want’s to help customers as much it can.
She said: “I am really proud that at Tesco, we are taking another step in being a more inclusive business by introducing quiet hour across all our stores.
“I know that for some people the shopping trip can be stressful and not just for people with a disability but for others looking for a calmer place to shop.
“We want everyone to know that Tesco is a welcome place for everyone to come and shop or work with us.”
Tesco isn’t the only supermarket to introduce quiet hours for shopping.
Morrisons introduced quiet hours to all its stores on Sundays between 9am and 10am in October last year after a similar trial.
The supermarket turns off music and makes no announcements in stores during this time and even stops checkouts from beeping.
Asda has an “inclusive” shopping hours on Tuesday in some stores between 10am and 11am and Lidl has “Autism Aware” quiet evenings on Tuesday from 6pm until 8pm.
