TESCO and Aldi have issued urgent warnings to customers who have bought fruit and veg recently.
Shoppers are being told to make sure they wash these goods before eating them following big winds dumping Saharan dust on crops.
You might have remembered when gloomy orange skies swept across the UK last month, as dust particles from the Sahara blew over Europe.
But dust particles in the air can trigger health emergencies for for some.
It can contain bacteria and other things in it that can make you ill.
Tesco and Aldi have both told shoppers to give their fruit and veg a good scrub to get rid of any dust that might have landed on them.
Shoppers have spotted signs in Tesco telling customers to wash fruit and veg before eating it, according to the Manchester Evening News.
While posters in Aldi were spotted telling families to give their fruit and veg an “extra rinse”.
The signs read: “Due to recent winds from the Sahara Desert, a small amount of dust may have settled within some of our packs.”
Products that may be affected include iceberg lettuce, little gem lettuce and celery.
A Tesco spokesperson said: “Following recent winds from the Sahara, a small amount of dust settled on some of our Spanish crops.
“This is nothing to be concerned about and we’re simply recommending that customers continue to wash their fruit and vegetable products before eating or cooking as usual.”
The Sun approached Aldi for comment.
It’s not the only warning about food supermarkets have issued recently.
Tesco issued an urgent recall notice about butter over E.coli bacteria last week.
While Lidl recalled its own brand packets of Alesto Californian roasted and salted pistachios.
Anybody who has bought the nuts recently from the store should avoid eating them for fears of food poisoning.
