COCKTAILS are an essential part of the festivities this season, whether you’re having people around for Christmas or New Year’s, you wanna be properly stocked up.

While most of us would like to pretend that we’re excellent creative bartenders sometimes it can be a little easier to get premade cocktails instead.

Espresso Martini fans will be pleased to know one supermarket is selling a “lazy” espresso martini for just £9 and you will be stunned to find out which one.

If Aldi or Lidl is what first came to mind then think again.

It turns out Waitrose is selling a 700ml bottle of Heston’s Lazy Espresso Martini for £9 in stores.

The cocktail is described as: “Smooth rich and velvety, with deep coffee and notes and a kick of vodka. Made with Falcon especially coffee served at Heston’s restaurant, The Fat Duck.”

And the best part is you can impress all your guests with this cocktail and it requires little to no effort.

You simply shake with ice, strain and serve.

One gleeful shopper flocked to Facebook to share the deal she spotted in one Waitrose store.

And the store was not quiet about the deal the shopper spotted a sign that read: “Heston The Lazy Espresso Martini was £25 NOW £9. WHEN IT’S GONE, IT’S GONE!”

The savvy shopper found the whole incident entirely comical, in the Overheard In Waitrose group she said: “Oh Heston! How the mighty fall!”

“No more weird/wonderful/revolting (delete as appropriate) Christmas concoctions from you, just a couple of leftovers sitting forlornly in the reduced aisle”

The post gained over 167 likes and nearly 100 comments, with many shoppers also finding the deal funny.

One user said: “I’d buy a case at that price. Love the stuff. And the lazy sunshine gin.”

Another said: “I enjoyed his stuff. It was always fascinating.”

“Nowt wrong with an Espresso Martini!” said a third.

Whether you are a Heston fan or not you’re not likely to get an espresso martini deal better than this anywhere else.

By comparison, Tesco is selling Tails Cocktails Espresso Martini for £12.50, however, you will need a Clubcard to take advantage of this deal.

The standard retail price is £15 and this bottle is 200ml smaller than Heston’s bottle in Waitrose.

In Aldi, they have a salted caramel-flavoured espresso martini for a little cheaper at £9.99.

Still, it’s not quite as cheap as Hestons and it’s still 200ml smaller.

It looks like you will need to head in-store to bag this deal, as Heston’s Lazy Espresso Martini is sold out online.

You can use the Waitrose branch finder tool to locate your nearest store.

There might be a chance to get a bottle of Espresso Martini even cheaper before Christmas although there is no guarantee.
