SUPERDRUG is launching a new VIP Rewards Loyalty Scheme which could give members access to exclusive offers and deals all year round.

The retailer hopes the scheme will help its loyal customers “feel rewarded” and help with the cost of day-to-day products they love.

Superdrug announces new perk for members – and customers will love the freebies

The VIP Rewards Scheme, which is launching today, is part of the brand’s plans to move customers from physical loyalty cards to an app-based loyalty scheme.

The new rewards scheme will automatically update for all current Health and Beautycard app and Superdrug.com members when they log in after today 25 October.

The app is available for download in the Google Play Store and the Apple Store.

Shoppers will still be able to collect points with their Health and Beautycard, with one point awarded for every £1 spent at Superdrug

You can spend points in multiples of 100, with 100 points worth £1.

As part of the VIP reward scheme, each customer will be given a threshold based on their current spend at the store. The more you spend the more you will be rewarded.

Once a member hits a total spend of £300 they will reach the VIP which gives them exclusive access to 12 months of unlimited rewards.

This could include ‘always on’ offers such as 10% off Superdrugs own brand and beauty services plus new rewards, which will launch on the app every other month.

The retailer said it will continue to surprise their VIPs with tons of extra rewards throughout the year.

Superdrug has said there will be freebies for VIP members but the retailer hasn’t given any more details just yet.

There is an unlimited amount of time to build and unlock rewards before reaching the VIP status.

A member’s VIP status will reset once the year is up unless they have continued to spend £300 throughout their VIP status.

Matt Walburn, ecommerce Director at Superdrug said: “We wanted to reward our loyal customers with offers that they would find useful and be able to use day to day on products we know they love.

The new VIP Rewards scheme sees us starting our journey to move from physical cards to an app-based loyalty scheme, enhancing our offline plus online initiative to engage and improve the customer experience.”

This comes after the retailer decided to ban the sale of disposable vapes last month.

Superdrug will no longer stock any single-use brands, including Vuse GO and Flavaah Bars.

The high street health and beauty retailer also announced that it would be the first UK retailer to see products from beauty brand Avon

The move will also see Avon products sold online through Superdrug.com.

The Superdrug VIP scheme will be going up against rival retailer Boots’ popular advantage card which holds regular points events.

The Perfume Shop also has a VIP club which rewards members with free delivery and price freezes.
