STEAM users in the UK and the US had trouble accessing their accounts to download games and complete purchases this weekend.
On Saturday morning, over 1,000 complaints were reported by Downdetector in the UK, mainly in London.
Most problems were encountered while logging in, while others also had issues with downloads and purchases.
But by 11.30am reports of problems had dropped to under 200 – suggesting the problems plaguing the platform had been fixed.
Steam is yet to release a statement detailing the reasons for the outage, but The Sun has sent a request for comment.

Thankfully, Steam got onto the issues immediately as reports suggest that the problems may have been solved.
It comes as reports have dropped to 54.
