We found out that some characters will make a reappearance from the films and TV shows, there will also be a new cast.

Here’s everything we know about the upcoming Star Wars Outlaws.

What’s the story of Star Wars Outlaws?

Protagonist Kay Vess will deal with various enemy factions, including the Hutt cartel, the Pyke syndicate, Crimson Dawn, the Ashiga clan, and the Zerek Besh.

Long-time fans of the series will also enjoy a number of character cameos, as the game’s creative director, Julian Gerighty, says: “There are a few [recognizable] Star Wars characters that we’ll meet across the adventure.”

Outlaws will take Kay to new locations, including Toshara – an all-new moon created by Massive for the Star Wars universe.

Gerighty says: “It was a process that taught us that no matter how much you think you know about Star Wars, you don’t know enough about Star Wars.

“There is a beauty and a simplicity in terms of the design of every single one of those locations that we’ve learned a lot from.

“It has to be familiar. It has to be something that you could almost recognize on Earth, but there’s always a twist.

“And in the case of Toshara, it’s these huge streaks of amberine, an amber-like material that’s translucent that forms part of the landscape, but it’s also within the cities.”

New gameplay opportunities are opened up through the Reputation System, where Vess has to build good relationships with different factions.

The new story trailer delves into the state of the galaxy between the events of Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi.

It shows protagonist Kay Vess and her companion Nix fighting against the forces of the Empire, while also showcasing various environments from the open world.

This includes some new planets as well as familiar ones, such as Tatooine.

Kay also faces off against Jabba the Hutt from the original Star Wars trilogy in the trailer.

Who’s in the Star Wars Outlaws cast?

Only three actors have been announced for the Star Wars Outlaws cast for the three main characters.

Humberly González will play protagonist Kay Vess, and she has previously voiced parts in several Ubisoft games, including the recent Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora.

She has also played roles in a number of TV shows and films such as Orphan Black.

Her adorable companion Nix will be voiced by Dee Bradley Baker, an accomplished voice actor known for roles in SpongeBob SquarePants and American Dad.

The final role revealed was for ND-5 who will be played by Jay Rincon.

This droid commando’s voice actor is well known in gaming, most recently for their work on RoboCop: Rogue City, and Dead Island 2.
