TWO huge games from popular IPs are on the horizon, and we finally know when the hugely anticipated games will finally be released.

In June 2023, publisher Ubisoft gave us our first look at Star Wars Outlaws, and fans were eager to get their hands on a new game in the series.

We've seen very little from Assassin's Creed Codename Red

It’s a narrative adventure with a huge open-world focused on the adventures of outlaw Kay Vess and her companion Nix.

The open world will feature well-known planets like Tatooine, alongside new areas like the moon of Toshara.

While we already know a lot about Star Wars Outlaws, the release date has remained a mystery.

A statement delivered alongside Ubisoft’s earnings report revealed that Star Wars Outlaws will launch before the end of 2024.

However, Star Wars wasn’t the only highly-anticipated game from Ubisoft that finally got a release date.

Little is known about Assassin’s Creed Codename Red except that it will be a fully-fledged entry in the series set in feudal Japan.

It’s the first time that the series has been brought to Japan, but we’ve seen little of the game beyond a brief teaser trailer.

This is why fans were surprised to hear a release date within the same earnings report statement.

Ubisoft claims that Assassin’s Creed Codename Red will be released in the financial year 2025.

Financial years are different from regular years, and FY 2025 lasts from April 2024 until March 2025.

As we have seen so little from the game, this is far sooner than fans were expecting.
