The maker of Snickers has been fined after two workers fell into a vat of chocolate.
Regulators from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) fined Mars Wrigley’s Pennsylvania factory more than £12,000 after an incident in June last year.
The business produces some of the world’s most popular sweet treats, including Skittles, M&M’s and Twix.

Two workers found themselves in a sticky situation after falling into a tank that was partially filled to waist-height with chocolate last summer.
More than two dozen firefighters were called out to the factory, with the workers rescued after a hole was cut in the tank. Both were sent to hospital, with one being transported by helicopter.
The individuals had been recruited to clean the tank at the factory in Elizabethtown.
They were not given adequate health and safety training, regulators said, in a report that dubbed the incident ‘serious’.
A spokesman for Mars Wrigley said: ‘The safety of our associates and outside contractors is a top priority. We appreciate regulators’ collaborative approach to working with us.’
