YOU’D be wrong for thinking your Sky box only serves as a way to watch TV.
If you have Sky Q mini around the home it has a secret bonus feature.
Not everyone realises that these boxes also act as Wi-Fi hotspots.
This could save you money from having to by expensive Wi-Fi extenders.
And you don’t need to have your internet with Sky to benefit from it.
If you’ve got Sky Broadband, it should be automatically set-up.
TV customers using a rival service will need to sort it out manually.
“This will boost your Wi-Fi coverage in your home and will enable your devices such as tablets and smart phones to connect to your Wi-Fi if you have areas in your home where Wi-Fi coverage might not be as good,” Sky says.
