POP THE CORK: Find a deal on fizz. At Asda, Bollinger champagne is down from £46 to £38, and Asquith Gardens English sparkling wine from £18 to £16.
Tesco has Clubcard deals on Lanson Le Black Label Brut, now £28, down from £35, and Canti pink prosecco, reduced from £9 to £7.50.
TURN OVER A NEW LEAF: At Sainsbury’s, the Green Plant Gift, including four varieties of plant, is half-price at £4.
For something lower-maintenance, Aldi has a large Star faux succulent for £7.99.
PICK UP THE SCENT: All AromaWorks products are 25 per cent off at Holland & Barrett, including a lavender & petitgrain candle, down from £13.49 to £10.99.
Tesco is running a Clubcard deal on the Katie Piper Trio candle collection, just £9, usually £18.
Or save even more by making your own. Melt wax flakes (1kg bag of soya wax flakes is £10 at Hobbycraft) in a pan on the hob. Add a few drops of essential oil, such as jasmine or lavender (£8 for 50ml, also at Hobbycraft).
Attach a wick to the bottom of a glass jar, pour in the melted wax and leave to solidify. Tie twine around the jar and attach a tag with a personal message.
