The snacks returned a few months ago and some are only just spotting them in their local shops.

They were last on shelves as a limited edition item back in 2005.

The biscuits include a classic digestive base but are covered with a layer of white chocolate on top.

One shopper who had only just seen them snapped a picture in their local Tesco.

They shared a post on the Food Finds UK Facebook group.

The post was met with more than 200 comments and 460 likes from fellow foodies.

All throughout the comments though disappointed shoppers shared their reaction, and they all had the same thing to say.

One said: “Not a lot of white chocolate on them very disappointed.”

Another replied: “I agree and smaller than the chocolate counterparts.”

A further shopper commented: “Shocking might as well be just Digestives, Fox’s Indulgence are so much better.”

While another posted: “Waste of money, hardly any chocolate on them.”

And a fifth said: “Big build up, but me personally, just thought they tasted like Digestive biscuit.

“There wasn’t enough chocolate on them.”

Another responded: “Tried these they’re a rip off, next to no chocolate and expensive.”

Further shoppers commented that they were “disappointed” and they were “stingy” on the white chocolate.

Several others also made comments on the price of the 232g pack – at £1.90 some felt this was pretty “steep”.

The price of the biscuits seems to vary by retailer so if you are looking to give them a try it could be worth having a shop around first.

We found the cheapest available is at Iceland, Asda and Co-op where they cost £1.50, the next lowest price is on Ocado for £1.89.

You can also find them in Sainsbury’s, Morrisons and Waitrose for £1.90.

Some shoppers were definitely pleased with the latest addition to the Digestives family.

One said: “Looks delicious!”

Another wrote: “I don’t really eat biscuits however these are tasty!!!”

A third commented: “These are lush, you should defo try.”

Prices can vary from shop to shop and also by day to day depending on specific deals on at the time, so make sure to have a shop around before you pick up a pack.

You can use tools like Google Shopping and Trolley.co.uk to compare up to date costs across several supermarkets and chains.

White chocolate Digestives aren’t the only discontinued fan favourite which have made a come back in recent months.

Happy Faces biscuits, which were axed around 2015, were spotted on Asda shelves again back in May.

The biscuits, which have jam and cream in the middle complete with a smiley face on top, cost £1 per pack.

Meanwhile, Muller has delighted shoppers by bringing back its much-loved Mississippi Mud Pie Corner flavour.

And most recently Quality Street has brought back a discontinued fan favourite, although shoppers are divided.
